Dr. Nguyen Quang is one of the pioneering figures in the development of Andrology and Sexual Medicine in Vietnam. Originally trained as a urologist, he soon dedicated his career to the advancement of male reproductive health and sexual medicine. With a strong foundation in urology, Dr. Quang is highly skilled in surgeries involving the urogenital system and has a profound interest in microsurgery and reconstructive surgery—especially procedures related to male infertility, erectile dysfunction, and genital reconstruction.
He currently serves as the Director of the Center for Andrology and Sexual Medicine at Viet Duc University Hospital, the oldest and most prestigious surgical hospital in Vietnam, established in 1902. As the country’s leading tertiary surgical institution, Viet Duc has provided Dr. Quang with a dynamic academic and clinical environment to pursue innovation in diagnosis, treatment, and surgical care for men’s health.
In academia, Dr. Quang is the Head of the Department of Urology – Andrology and Sexual Medicine at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. He is a dedicated educator and research supervisor, having mentored numerous Ph.D. candidates, Master's degree holders, and medical residents. He is the author or co-author of more than 100 scientific publications in both national and international peer-reviewed journals, and has contributed to 12 medical textbooks and book chapters.
As President of the Vietnam Society for Sexual Medicine (VSSM), Dr. Quang has played a critical role in elevating the field of andrology and sexual medicine in Vietnam and fostering global collaboration. Under his leadership, VSSM has built strong professional networks, organized regional and international conferences, and promoted research, education, and public awareness on sexual health. He continues to advocate for comprehensive, evidence-based approaches to men's health, with a particular focus on sexual function, hormonal balance, and pelvic floor rehabilitation.
With a career that bridges clinical excellence, academic leadership, and international engagement, Dr. Nguyen Quang is widely respected as a thought leader in andrology and sexual medicine in Vietnam. His work is driven by a lifelong commitment to advancing science, improving patient care, and mentoring the next generation of physicians and researchers.
